Changing peoples lives through Neurolens

In 2020 I started looking at my patients that suffered from a condition called Digital Vision Syndrome (DVS).  The symptoms of DVS are: headaches, neck stiffness or soreness, eye fatigue, blurry vision and dry eyes.  What I discovered is that 55% of the patients in my office were suffering.  In fact, a study shows that 65% of Americans suffer from DVS.  This is caused by the fact that 9 out of 10 people spend more than 2 hours per day on a device.

The eyes and the visual system plays a huge factor that leads to DVS.  Inside our head, there is a nerve called the Trigeminal Nerve.  It is a proprioceptive nerve.  This means that it is responsible for keeping things in the ideal state.  This nerve radiates like a spiderweb through our forehead and back down through our neck.  The primary branch of the Trigeminal nerve is the ophthalmic branch which is responsible for keeping your eyes aligned on the object.  If your eyes are not pointing to an object then this nerve has to overwork to align on the object.  What we find is that the majority of eyes are misaligned.  This misalignment creates a condition called Trigeminal Dysphoria.

The symptoms of Trigeminal Dysphoria are: headache, migraines, eye fatigue, blurry vision , double vision, dizziness and vertigo.

Eye Care of Rigby is one of the nations leading providers for Neurolens.  Neurolens is a pair of glasses that uses contoured prism which bends light to where your eyes are aligned.  This alleviates the over-stimulation of the Trigeminal Nerve.  Our patients that wear Neurolens call them their headache glasses.  To find out today if we could change your life through Neurolens, fill out the lifestyle questionnaire and call and make an appointment today.
